Summary
Milk jug, earthenware, pear shaped body with slightly flaring neck and angular lip, simple loop handle from beneath rim to lower body, Cartwright & Edwards, Longton, Staffordshire, 1860-80; decorated with sepia transfer print in the ‘Panthes’ pattern, Greek key border beneath rim, with vignette to each side of six Classical-type pots on an ornamental shelf.
