Summary
A mahogany stationery table or display table, inscribed 'Letts Son & Co. Limited, London' probably commissioned for shop display by the company, circa 1870. Originally with a raised superstructure, probably a display cabinet (now missing). Two drawers to the frieze with knob handles and raised on square section legs, slightly splayed at the foot. With an inset ivory label to the top bearing the inscription.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust from the Wrisdales in 2005, formerly owned by the Montgomery-Massingberds.
