Summary
An ebonised and parcel gilt side cabinet, mounted with contemporary blue and white ceramic tiles, English, circa 1880 - 1890. The cabinet raised on turned peg feet above a shelf with open front, panelled back and arcaded sides, with a fall front inset with three blue and white tiles of naked nymphs in roundels above; a further fall front cupboard supported on turned columns with the fall front inset with different blue and white tiles of animals in roundels above; the whole surmounted by a gallery of turned spindles between fluted and gilded rails. To the sides of both cupboards geometrically patterned polychrome tiles are set.
