Summary
An oak single bed, either made by or retailed by Maple & Co. Ltd. London, circa 1900. With a head and foot board each comprising three horizontal rails between which run friezes of upright rails, two solid panels and six rails to either side of central panels pierced with a lozenge, raised on square section legs. With a sprung mattress base with a Maple and Co label. Maple & Co was one the largest and most successful British furniture retailers and cabinet makers established c.1870 in London.
