One of a set of seven watercolour drawings of game birds by J C Harrison as follows-- a) 'Morning,Partridges among the corn'. Partridges fly low over the stooks. Signed and inscribed on the mount. Plain gilt frame. b)'Evening,Grouse among the heather'. A covey flying middle distance. Four birds standing in the heather,foreground. Mountains in the distance. Signed and inscribed on the mount. Plain gilt frame. c) 'Partridge Driving No.1 Gunby September 1922' birds over a ploughed field. d) 'Partridge Driving No.2 Gunby Sept 1922'. Birds flying straight out of the perspective of the painting over a ploughed field. signed and dated. Inscribed on the mount. e) Mallard rising from a rush-filled pond surrounded by trees. f) 'Partridges in Flight'. Partridges rising over a field of brassicas. signed. g) 'A Woodcock'. The single bird stands beneath some brown bracken fronds in an open woodland landscape. A wren perches on a bramble right foreground. Signed. All in plain ebonised frames.
