Summary
Monochrome watercolour and wash by P.L.Massingberd of Church of the Conception.Gathering of monks and people before the facade of the Church of the Conception with a procession moving out of the church with icons carried on trestles including figures of the Madonna and Child and St.Denis. Inscribed top right hand corner 'see page 61 St.Denis - it was he that preached with his head under his arm - or his hand, I forget which'. Hogarth type frame.
