Summary
A watercolour drawing by Peregrine Langton Massingberd and coloured by Hon.Emily Eden,sister to Lord Auckland, of Chateau de Bouith nr Bordeaux. Distant view of chateau and balustraded garden terraces below. Large stepped wall to foreground. Gilt composition frame. Label on reverse in Charles Langton Massingberd's hand records artist and colourist and suggests date of 1819/20.

1944, gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd.
