Summary
Print, mezzotint, Joseph Addison (1672-1719) (after Sir Godfrey Kneller) by John Simon (Normandy c. 1675 – London 1754). Half-length portrait, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, in full bottom wig, open fronted jacket and loose white shirt, left hand resting on a stone plinth.

1944, gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd.
