Provenance
Part of a collection of pictures, mainly watercolour/gouache flower paintings by Irene Kendal, also work by her sister Mary, her father Thomas and other artists, plus photographs, personal effects and ephemara.Collection given to the National Trust by Irene Kendal in 1995, together with her home, High Ground House, Torver, Coniston, and some of the house contents. Irene Kendal wished for her work to be displayed in the house.
