Summary
Wrought iron door knocker made as a passing out trade test by an Army blacksmith on discharge. Found on a scrap heap by Mr W A Knowles. Lawrence asked Mr Knowles if the same blacksmith could make the fender for the Music room, which he did. The door knocker was fixed before Lawrence rented the Cottage.
