Summary

Armchair - Cream leather-covered square armchair with two yellow sheepskin cushions. Designed by Lawrence.

Provenance

Reputed to have been made by Mr A Adlington, of Strand Furnishings, Southampton. TEL placed the order with him; he was so worried that TEL would not be able to afford the cost of it - £26 - that he contacted him to confirm the price. The stud work was executed by Adlington's son. Mrs Smith, Adlington's daughter related this story to Francis Chapman, Custodian, 6 July 1998.
