Summary
Print, chromolithograph, Menai Suspension bridge, published by Taylor and Worrall. Thomas Telford's great suspension bridge over the Menai Straits was opened in 1826 with a span of 579ft, then the longest in the world. It made possible the completion of Telford's London-Holyhead road, the mail route to Ireland.
