Summary
Disused bell, formerly hung for ringing on the roof of the house. The bell has cable patterned canons. The mouldings are 2:1-1-1:3:2. The inscription reads Charles : & : Iohn Rudhall Fecit . 1784 (scroll border). It was cast by Charles and John Rudhall of Gloucester in 1784 during their relatively short partnership (1782-7). Note D natural (1201.5hz or D(3)+39 cents). It has no fittings other than stirrup-topped clapper suspended from the cast-in crown-staple of the bell by a metal C-loop (lacking its wooden spacer).

Gifted to the National Trust by Lord Cawley in 1979.
