Summary
English pocket watch in gold single case,No.2605, by Allam, London, c.1826. Full plate, four-pillar, gilt-brass fusee movement with cylinder escapement. Signed on potence plate: “Allam London No.2605”. Silver Tompion-type regulation disc. Gold dial with polished raised roman numerals on a matted ground. Engine-turned centre and gold arrow hands. 18ct gold single open-face case, hallmarked for London 1826/7. Reeded band and engine turned back. Note. The hour hand is probably a later replacement.
