Caption

This bust of Vivienne, Lady Cawley’s grandmother was sculpted in Florence and made it to Berrington despite allegedly being dropped in the harbour at Marseilles.

Summary

Marble, Hannah Dracup, Mrs Henry Lee (1816-1894), by Odoardo Fantacchiotti (1809-1877), inscribed Scolpire Firenze 1877. Wife of Henry Lee (1817-1904) of Sedgeley Hall, Prestwich, Manchester, cotton manufacturer and Liberal M.P for Southampton 1880-5. Grandmother of Vivienne, Lady Cawley, who left the bust to Berrington. The bust fell in to the harbour at Marseilles.
