Summary
An ash correction chair, English, circa 1830. The back with bar toprail and three shaped vertical splats, the rush seat raised on turned legs with swept feet and joined by multiple stretchers. A 'correction' or 'deportment' chair was designed to encourage correct sitting posture in children.
