Summary
A mahogany rectangular sewing or work box on stand, English, circa 1820. Edged with boxwood, the hinged lid above an ivory escutcheon and two small drawers with ebonised knob handles in the base, above undulating aprons and elongated square tapering legs with brass ball feet.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Mrs C.V. Lawson in 1981.
