Summary
Edith Teresa is standing in the centre of the photograph leaning back against a waist high brick wall. She is wearing a long coat and hat and holding a wooden pole. To either side of her seated on the wall are two of the daughters of the family. The girls are wearing coats and holding large sunhats. A young boy is standing at the end of the wall wearing a flat cap and shielding his eyes from the sun. The family were long standing friends of the Hultons and there are many letters in the archive from them to Teresa. Edith Teresa Hulton (1890-1972), later Lady Berwick worked as a Red Cross volunteer in a variety of locations in north-east Italy in the Italian war zone during World War I. She married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30th June 1919 in Venice, Italy.
