Summary
Edith Teresa is seated on the grass dressed in a long sleeved white blouse and long skirt and sun hat. She is holding a long pole. Behind and to either side of her are two young girls in summer dresses both holding walking sticks. One is wearing a large sunhat and the other is holding a sunhat by her side. The family were long standing friends of the Hultons and there are many letters in the archive from them to Teresa. Contained in Edith Teresa Hulton’s (later Lady Berwick) Personal Album August 1918 – January 1919 (CMS item number 610242), page 7. There are three photographs on the page. This photograph is on the left of the top row. Edith Teresa Hulton (1890-1972), later Lady Berwick worked as a Red Cross volunteer in a variety of locations in north-east Italy in the Italian war zone during World War I. She married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30th June 1919 in Venice, Italy.
