Summary
A monochrome photograph showing a spaniel lying on a step. It is looking directly at the camera and appears very alert. A brick wall can be seen. Photograph Number 4 of 7 photographs, on Page 4 of Edith Teresa Hulton's Small Snapshot Album of Cervignano May - July 1916 (CMS Number 610240.1). Edith Teresa Hulton (1890-1972), later Lady Berwick, worked as a Red Cross volunteer in a variety of locations, including Cervignano in the province of Friuli in north east Italy where she worked in the soldiers’ canteen, in the Italian war zone during World War I. She married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30th June 1919 in Venice, Italy. Cervignano is located in the province of Friuli in north east Italy and is one of the locations where Teresa Hulton was based during her work in the First World War.
