Summary
Monochrome photograph showing Edith Teresa, Lady Berwick, standing outdoors at Cronkhill, Shropshire in March 1920. She is wearing a winter coat with a large shawl collar and a cloche hat. To her right is a half-life-sized statue, and the Wrekin hill can be seen in the distance. The Regency villa at Cronkhill was built in 1802 by John Nash for the 2nd Lord Berwick's agent, Francis Walford. Lord and Lady Berwick returned to live at Cronkhill after their honeymoon in Italy in 1919 as Attingham Hall was leased to a tenant. Photograph Number 36 of 232, on Page 11 in Volume 4 of Edith Teresa Hulton's Personal Photograph Albums 1919 - 1926 (CMS item number 610190.1).
