Summary
Monochrome photograph showing Edith Teresa, Lady Berwick (1890-1972), and a female guest standing in parkland at Cronkhill, Shropshire in March 1920. Teresa is standing to the right of the photograph wearing a full length coat with a large shawl collar and a cloche hat. The Regency villa at Cronkhill was built in 1802 by John Nash for the 2nd Lord Berwick's agent, Francis Walford. Lord and Lady Berwick returned to live at Cronkhill after their honeymoon in Italy in 1919 as Attingham Hall was leased to a tenant. Photograph No. 34 of 232, on Page 11 in Volume 4 of Edith Teresa Hulton's Personal Photograph Albums 1919 - 1926 (CMS item number 610190.1). Evelyn Gordon-Watson stayed at Cronkhill in March 1920 and may be the guest shown in the photograph.
