Summary
A monochrome photograph of Gioconda Mary Hulton (1887-1940). She is dressed all in white and is looking to her right. She is standing on a stone pier or jetty type structure. Water is just visible to the left rear of the photograph. A small dog can be seen sitting on a stone wall to Gioconda's left. Writing in pencil below photograph: 'Stresa July 1909'. Photograph 50 of 227 contained in Volume 3 of Edith Teresa Hulton's personal photograph albums (1906 - 1919). Gioconda Mary Hulton was the elder sister of Edith Teresa Hulton, later Lady Berwick (1890-1972). This photograph was taken at Stresa which is located on Lake Maggiore, the second largest lake in Italy, in the Piedmont and Lombardy regions.
