Summary
A monochrome photograph of Edith Teresa Hulton (1890 - 1972) sitting in a chair and dressed all in white. A vase with flowers can be seen to the right in the photo and a small side table is located to Edith Teresa’s left. Written in pencil below photograph: 'Bim July 1907 - Augusto'. Photograph 4 of 227 contained in Volume 3 of Costanza Hulton’s personal photograph albums (1906 - 1919). 'Bim' is short for Bimbele, the family nickname for Edith Teresa Hulton. Teresa Hulton became Lady Berwick when she married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30 June 1919. ‘Augusto’ was one of the Hultons’ house servants, so it’s reasonable to assume that this was taken in Venice, perhaps at their home, Calle della Testa 6383, formerly Ca’ Donà dalle Rose.
