Summary
A monochrome photograph of two ladies standing on a beach, Lido di Jesolo, with its lighthouse in the distance. The lady on the right is Gioconda Hulton who is trying to put her hat on. The woman on the left is identified as 'Consy'. Written in pencil above photograph: 'Oct 1906 Consy and Gioconda done by Wilfred v Vietinghof'. Photograph 2 of 227 contained in Volume 3 of Costanza Hulton’s personal photograph albums (1906 - 1919). Gioconda Mary Hulton was the sister of Edith Teresa Hulton, later Lady Berwick (1890-1972). 'Consy' was the nickname of Constance Houison Craufurd, an old friend of the Hultons. This photograph was taken by Wilfried von Vietinghoff. See also National Trust Inventory Number 610177.6.
