Summary
A monochrome photograph of William Stokes Hulton (1852-1921) sitting on a wooden chair. Sitting next to him on another chair is a small dog called Torà and William Hulton has his left hand holding the dog. Writing in ink underneath photograph: 'the same - Willy - the same'. Photograph 49 of 134 contained in Volume 2 of Edith Teresa Hulton's personal photograph albums (1901 - 1906). William Stokes Hulton was the father of Edith Teresa Hulton, later Lady Berwick (1890-1972) to whom Torà belonged. The writing 'the same' refers to photographer and location details written under other photographs - see National Trust Inventory Number 610168.37 and 610168.49. This photograph was taken by Richard Freer Austin who was married to William Hulton's elder sister Harriet Alyne Austin (née Hulton). It was taken in the Austrian sking/holiday resort of Seefeld.
