Summary
A monochrome photograph of Edith Teresa Hulton (1890-1972) standing on a swing next to a tree. Behind there is a washing line with clothing on it, a fence and an outbuilding. Written in ink underneath the photograph: 'Seefeld 22nd Aug 1903'. Also 'Bim' and 'the same'. Photograph 48 of 134 contained in Volume 2 of Costanza Hulton's personal photograph albums (1901 - 1906). 'Bim' is short for Bimbele, the Hulton family nickname for Edith Teresa Hulton. She became Lady Berwick when she married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30 June 1919. The writing 'the same' refers to details about the photographer written under another photo - see National Trust Inventory Number 610168.37. This photograph was taken by Richard Freer Austin who was the husband of Edith Teresa Hulton’s aunt Harriet Alyne Austin (née Hulton). It was taken in Seefeld, a holiday resort in Austria.
