Summary
A monochrome photograph of Gioconda Mary Hulton (1887-1940) and her sister Edith Teresa Hulton (1890-1972). Gioconda is sitting on the steps of a small ladder while Edith Teresa sits behind her on the top of the ladder. Written in ink underneath the photograph: 'Gio & Bim' and 'Mogliano May 1903 done by Anne Bianchi'. Photograph 26 of 134 contained in Volume 2 of Costanza Hulton's personal photograph albums (1901 - 1906). ‘Bim’ was the short form of Bimbele, the Hulton family nickname for Edith Teresa Hulton who became Lady Berwick when she married Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick of Attingham (1877-1947) on 30 June 1919. This photograph was taken by Anne Bianchi on the Bianchi estate in Mogliano Veneto, a town halfway between Venice and Treviso. See also National Trust Inventory Number 610168.28,
