Summary
Green silk mat. Green silk moquette, small sprig Green brocaded braid Hand sewn with green silk thread. Bordered on four sides. Woven silk moquette; green silk warp; yellow/green cotton weft; warp faced satin ground; warp cut and uncut pile. Loom width; 595 mm (23.3/8 in) Straight repeat drop 65 mm x 55 mm. Sprigged flower motifs. Based on 16th century Italian voided velvet designs. Green cotton silk and cotton warp brocaded braid 35 mm. English manufacture circa 1900.
