Summary
A monochrome photograph of William Stokes Hulton (1852-1921) standing and leaning on a wall with a building and an area of water in the background. Written in ink underneath the photograph 'Willy Salò 1893' and also 'R. Austin'. Photograph 40 of 102 contained in Volume 1 of Costanza Hulton's personal photograph albums (1886 - 1901). William Stokes Hulton was the father of Edith Teresa Hulton, later Lady Berwick. This photograph was taken in Salò, a town in Lombardy in northern Italy, located on the banks of Lake Garda. This photograph was taken by Richard Freer Austin, husband of Harriet Alyne Austin (née Hulton), elder sister of William Stokes Hulton. See also National Trust inventory number 610136.42.
