Summary
A monochrome photograph of William Stokes Hulton (1852-1921) and his wife Costanza (‘Zina’) Hulton (née Mazini) (1863-1939) standing in a square in Salò. Costanza is holding an umbrella or parasol. Written in ink underneath the photograph 'Willy and Zina seeing the Austins off' and also 'R. Austin'. Photograph 36 of 102 contained in Volume 1 of Costanza Hulton's personal photograph albums (1886 - 1901). William and Costanza Hulton were the parents of Edith Teresa Hulton, later Lady Berwick. This photograph was taken in Salò, a town in Lombardy in northern Italy, located on the banks of Lake Garda. This photograph was taken by Richard Freer Austin, husband of Harriet Alyne Austin (née Hulton), elder sister of William Stokes Hulton.
