Summary
A monochrome photograph of an external area surrounded by buildings. There is a table and chairs in the foreground and a building in the rear has Salò written on its side. There is a group of 6 or possibly 7 people standing on steps at the rear of the photo. Written in ink underneath the photograph 'Salò - 1893' and also 'R. Austin'. Photograph 34 of 102 contained in Volume 1 of Costanza Hulton's personal photograph albums (1886 - 1901). This photograph was taken in Salò, a town in Lombardy in northern Italy, located on the banks of Lake Garda. This photograph was taken by Richard Freer Austin, husband of Harriet Alyne Austin (née Hulton), elder sister of William Stokes Hulton.
