Summary

One man is sitting down and reading a paper under the shade of a tree. Written in ink underneath the photograph 'Salò - 1893' and also 'R. Austin'. Photograph 33 of 102 contained in Volume 1 of Costanza Hulton's personal photograph albums (1886 - 1901). This photograph was taken in Salò, a town in Lombardy in northern Italy, located on the banks of Lake Garda. It was taken by Richard Freer Austin, husband of Harriet Alyne Austin (née Hulton), elder sister of William Stokes Hulton. .
