Summary
A pair of cardboard card-racks, each with elaborately shaped red backplate, tapering pocket to front decorated with grisaille decoration of putti. Hung on pink silk ribbon. Applied gilt paper borders, stamped decoration. Made in France circa 1820.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
