Summary
A pair of cardboard card-racks with pointed backplate covered in textured gilt paper, curved buff coloured pocket to front pierced with lattice design and picked out in gilt. Hung on twisted silk string, similar decorative loops to either side. Made in England or France, circa 1820.
Provenance
Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
