Summary
Hand held face screen with shield-shaped board and ebonised handle. Central circular opening for print (? missing), pink paper borders printed with geometric designs. On the reverse floral sprays cut-out of wallpaper in pink against a trellis, pasted on at later date. English manufacture, circa 1830.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
