Summary
Hand held satinwood (?) and ebony face screen consisting of a rectangular board with concave sides and ornate corners, turned ebony handle (handle is missing). Penwork decoration to each side showing a classical family group in a garden, framed by elaborate outer border of scrolling acanthus leaves. English manufacture, circa 1820.
