Summary
Hand held face screen consisting of a shaped oval board and turned giltwood handle (broken). Central grisaille illustration of three drunken putti, barrel and ewer to left. Outer blue border framed by applied gilt scrolls and surmounted by two eagles. Possibly made in England or France, circa 1820.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
