Summary
Hand held face screen, consisting of a rococo shaped board and turned ebonised handle. Central cartouche containing hand painted chinoiserie figure dancing in a garden. Applied gilt scroll borders, on plain buff ground. Red morocco paper backing and gilt edging. Made in France or China, circa 1820.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
