Summary
Hand held face screen consisting of a flat heart-shaped board and turned giltwood handle. Sprays of thistle, rose and shamrock hand painted in shades of gold pasted on cut-out image, against plain buff ground. Double gilt line borders. Made in England or France, circa 1820.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
