Summary
Exhibition medal of 1865 designed by W. Wyon (R.A.), I.W. and F.B. Thomas of New Bond Street, London. Silver plated Smithfield Club medal, cast with portrait of Earl Spencer, in profile to left, and on the reverse the right facing profile of Charles Duke of Richmond. Engraved inscription around the rim reads: THE LATE LORD BERWICK, CRONKHILL, SHREWSBURY, SALOP AS BREEDER BEST BEEF IN CLASS 8, 1865. In orginal maroon leather case with blue velvet lining.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
