Summary
Set of thirteen circular cards printed with various battle scenes from the Napoleonic Wars. Details picked out in coloured washes and historical information printed on reverse. Originally linked by pink ribbon. Red leather case with lid on which is stamped in gold lettering: RECORD OF BRITISH MILITARY VALOUR. Manufactured by Edward Orme of Bond Street, London in 1815. The engagements depicted are: Vimiera, Douro, Talavera, Bussaco, Albuera, Ciudad Rodrigo, Badajoz, Vitoria, Pamplona, San Sebastian, Toulouse, Salamanca and Waterloo. The same object exists within the British Museum Collection, see M.6585.
