Summary
Circular white ceramic medallion, cast in relief by Smith and Hinks in 1846 with an illustration of a bull, cow, sheep and distant farmhouse, the reverse engraved with an inscription: SHROPSHIRE PRACTICAL FARMERS' SOCIETY INSTITUTED 1839 Presented to The Hon.ble Rc.Noel Hill for the best Yearling Heifer Exhibited 1846. Set in a silver frame with hanging ring, behind two glazed panels.
Provenance
4th Lord Berwick collection: Rev. Richard Noel-Hill, 4th Baron Berwick (1774-1848). By descent bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
