Summary
French circular bronzed steel medal, early nineteenth century, by Bertrand Andrieu (1761-1822), showing a head and shoulder profile of Napoleon to centre above a battle scene and flanked by flags. 'BONAPARTE PREMIER CONSUL DE LA REPUBLIQUE FRANCE' around rim. Glazed in gilt metal frame with hanging ring.

Attingham collection; bequeathed to the National Trust with the estate, house and contents of Attingham by Thomas Henry Noel-Hill, 8th Baron Berwick (1877-1947) on 15th May 1953.
