Summary
Three pieces of bobbin lace border. Cream cotton threads. Bobbin lace mesh ground and gimp outlining motifs. Design; repeat 55 mm. Flower spray from mound and sprig Rococo, cut/torn either end. Made in Buckinghamshire, late 19th century
Provenance
Found tied together by string with ATT/TC/188-191 with pencil note on paper by Lady Berwick which reads: 'Old Bucks'. This edging wrapped round business card for 'Gardner and Son'. 8th Lady Berwick collection; bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890-1972).
