Summary
Bobbin lace edging. Cream cotton threads. Bobbin lace, gimp outling motifs. Design; repeat 58 mm, looped ribbons between eyelets. Straight footing; heading follows design, cut one end, hemmed one end. Made in Buckinghamshire, late 19th century.
Provenance
Found tied together by string with ATT/TC/188-191 with pencil note on paper by Lady Berwick which reads: 'Old Bucks'. This edging wrapped round business card for 'Gardner and Son'. 8th Lady Berwick collection; bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890-1972).
