Summary
Hand sewn sand yellow silk gauze over-tunic, stencil printed in brown around yoke and border of Renaissance motifs including pomegranates. Trimmed with silver and self coloured cord, yellow beads used as shoulder fastening and edging to sides. Hand written note by 8th Lady Berwick reads: 'Tunic dress bought from Mariano Fortuny in Venice about 1924 - worn over matching silk underslip'.
