Summary

Cream silk vest. Cream silk 'milanese' machine knitted. a) four buttons 10 mm diam; b) cream silk unbalanced plain weave 'taffeta'. Round neck, placket opening front, short sleeves, hand and machine sewn. Made in England by Allen Solly and Co Ltd, London, circa 1925. Part of 8th Lady Berwick's underwear.

Provenance

8th Lady Berwick collection; bequeathed to the National Trust by Edith Teresa Hulton, Lady Berwick (1890-1972).
