Summary
Black dress coat. Black worsted 'barathea'. a) Black silk twill weave ridge; b) eight black buttons 18 mm diam; c) eight black buttons 13 mm diam; d) coat hanger. a) Black silk satin weave with padded areas; b) as black silk trimming a); c) ivory silk satin weave; d) cream brushed twill weave. Hand and machine sewn, indented reverse, cut away to tails. One inside breast pocket, two tail pockets. Made for 8th Lord Berwick in London, circa 1900.
