Summary
Double Breasted waistcoat. Foreparts. Black wool twill weave. Back. Black silk satin weave. a) eight black silk basket weave buttons 14 mm diam; b) metal buckle 'Paris Solide'; d) two pearlised buttons 12 mm; c) five linen buttons 11 mm diam. a) Dark brown cotton twill weave (as Fabric Back above); b) cream cotton satin weave. Hand and machine sewn; three pockets; back strap, indented collar. Made for 8th Lord Berwick, with matching frock coat, by Lesley and Roberts of Hanover Square, London, circa 1900.
